Volunteer Opportunities for the Olympia Chapter of PMI

Roles Listed Below

Volunteering is a one of the core values of PMI.  We are creating the culture, services, and support for ourselves within the structure of a Project Management Institute Chapter.

As a volunteer you can claim up to 25 PDUs for giving back including volunteering your time leading and supporting chapter events.  You are the solution to the needs of our membership.

Contact Director of Volunteers or the board VP for the area you want to help.  Page 2 contains specific roles that need leaders.

Volunteering has several components.  The first of these is service to our community where your actions create a product or service that improves project management success in our region.  The second is an opportunity to lead, plan, coordinate, and execute project / program work where you hold yourself accountable and you and your team are responsible for the quality and usefulness of the products or services you and your team create.  You choose the challenge and deliver the solution.  The third benefit is an opportunity to connect to organizational leaders by serving.  The networking opportunities will create contacts for yourself that will impact your future efforts and career.  The fourth is gaining PDUs to maintain your certifications.
