The Olympia Chapter of PMI is proud to present the PMO Roundtable. This year we are excited to have three roundtable members with extensive project management experience to answer questions regarding project management and successfully managing a PMO.  This event is meant to be interactive so come prepared with your questions and join the discussion.

Cat has a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with an emphasis in Accounting, a Masters of Business Administration and holds the PMP certification.  She is a graduate of the 2018 IPMA LeaderPath program. In her spare time, Cat coaches youth cheerleading and enjoys travelling the world.

image1Christy Campbell – Washington Community and Technical Colleges

ctcLink is a five-year, $145 million implementation of a single administrative suite of PeopleSoft tools across the state’s 34 public community and technical colleges.

When Christy Campbell joined the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) in June 2017 as director of the ctcLink Project, well, let’s just say we were in some trouble.

The first colleges had a rocky launch and the original implementation partner went out of business.

Not only has she since righted the leaning ship, she is overseeing both an enormous technology transformation and a complex organizational change management effort. The new plan includes a remediation and stabilization plan, restructured governance model, updated staffing plan, deployment timeline and budget.

Christy was previously CIO at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where she started out as senior project manager for the college’s PeopleSoft implementation.

She has comprehensive expertise in implementing PeopleSoft in large higher education systems, such as the University of California system and City University of New York, as well as the University of Phoenix.

Christy has nearly 30 years of experience in IT roles, including applications engineer, consulting manager, director of applications and delivery, project manager and project director, both in higher education and private companies such as IBM, Corio, KPMG and Oracle/PeopleSoft.

She has a passion for learning and teaching in all areas of technology and served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Phoenix.

Christy holds a master’s degree in computer information science from the University of Phoenix, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Mary’s College of California, an associate degree from Diablo Valley College, and a PMI Project Management Certification.

She enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, reading, movies and spending time with her family and friends.

And, of course, speaking to fellow Project Management Professionals.
