PMI Olympia Chapter

President's Update

To Our Project Management Community!

Most of us are entering our ninth or more weeks of quarantine due to COVID19.  In solidarity of maintaining social distance while continuing to keep our project management community engaged, PMI Olympia Chapter hosted our first virtual chapter meeting on April 21, 2020 with Amy Leneker’s presentation on “Stress Less: How to Minimize Stress and Maximize Potential.”

Our chapter will continue to support Governor Inslee’s stay home order and still strive to bring you quality chapter meetings virtually.  In appreciation to our chapter members, we continue to provide the May and June virtual chapter meetings free and a nominal cost for non-chapter members.

This is a perfect opportunity for non-chapter members to join through PMI’s Guest Pass Program.  Contact our membership@pmiolympia.org to see if you qualify for one-year free chapter membership.

PMI Global has also made adjustments for COVID19.  Starting April 16, 2020, the PMP Exam is available online.

If you had plans to take your PMP exam, now is the perfect opportunity to schedule your exam.

Please check www.pmiolympia.org chapter website for more information on events, specifically the free events to take advantage of earning your PDU’s, and updates to our May and June meetings.

We don’t know what the near future holds for us but know that the PMI Olympia Chapter Board of Directors are continuing to plan and strategize to ensure we provide you the value you deserve from our chapter.

Keep safe, and thank you for your patience and understanding,

Mison Bowden
