2025-2026 Board of Directors Openings and Elections
On March 18, 2025 all PMI Olympia Chapter members will receive an email from elections@pmiolympia.org with voting instructions (please add elections@pmiolympia.org to your contacts so it is not treated as spam). The Nomination and Candidate applications window will open March 24 to April 11, 2025.
Voting ballots will be send on 30 Apil 2025. Elections will be held from May 1 - 15, 2025.
Available Board of Directors Positions:
- President-Elect (3 yrs),
- VP of Operations (2 yrs) and
- VP of Membership (2 yrs)

Benefits of Serving
Serving as a Board Member is exciting, fun, and rewarding. It's a terrific way to become more involved in the Chapter, understand and work with PMI Global and meet and work with some amazing people.
Who Can Run?
Any PMI Olympia Chapter member in good standing can nominate themselves or be nominated by another member for an open position. Anyone elected to a Board of Directors position must maintain PMI Olympia Chapter membership throughout the term.
Board Member Responsibilities
Board members dedicate approximately 15 hours a month to Chapter activities, attend monthly board meetings and lead and manage their portfolio.
BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities expected of board members are:
- Attend Board of Directors meetings on the first Tuesday evening of every month and attend annual transition and strategy sessions.
- Regularly attend Chapter Meetings and participate in other Chapter activities as appropriate at your expense (the Chapter does not pay fees for Board members to attend Chapter Meetings).
- Dedicate approximately 15 hours monthly to Chapter activities, depending on the position.
- For the President-Elect position, commit to serve a three-year term: President-Elect, July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026; President, July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027; and Past President, July 1, 2027 – June 30, 2028.
- For Vice President positions, commit to serve a two-year term, July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027.
- Lead, support, recruit, and recognize Chapter volunteers and portfolio team members.
- Strategically develop and lead your portfolio to achieve the Chapter's mission.
- Learn about and understand your portfolio and the Chapter.
- Put the interests of the Chapter ahead of any other organization or business when acting as a Board member. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect decision-making.
- Manage your portfolio budget and expenditures.
- Be a positive spokesperson and evangelist for your portfolio and the Chapter.
- Fulfill the fiduciary, duty of care, and diligence responsibilities of the Board of Directors by reviewing programs, policies, financial statements, and other relevant materials.
- Serve on committees and take on special assignments.
