FEATURED SPEAKER: Victoria Wortberg
Victoria Wortberg is the deputy director & chief development officer for United Way of Thurston County. She has led a nonprofit to improve the lives of people with disabilities, served as a marketing and fund development specialist for a hospital and then for a national ad agency, and eventually as CEO of her own marketing firm. During these years, she also served on several nonprofit boards and as a community volunteer. She later left the corporate world, moved to Olympia from Washington D.C., taught at Saint Martin’s University, worked with the Timberland Regional Library Foundation, Thurston Economic Development Council, and the Yelm Area Chamber of Commerce.
Her BA is in psychology, sociology, and dance. She remains a passionate fan of classical music and all the arts. She earned an MPA in Public Policy and Nonprofit Administration as well as an MBA in Marketing. She lives in Olympia with her son, a very small dog, and a very large cat.
