This month our host for the mentor chati is Dave Pratt.
Dave Pratt is a credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP). For the past twenty years, he has specialized in managing, rescuing and providing external quality assurance for client projects in the public, private and non-profit sectors of business. His specific areas of expertise include business analysis, organizational assessment, program management group facilitation. Dave has three project management books in print, including Pragmatic Project Management, The IT Project Manager’s Handbook and Great Lessons in Project Management.
Dave is a graduate of Washington State University (BS in Psychology), Webster University (Masters in Management) and Baylor University (Masters in Heath Administration). Dave teaches project and program management for South Puget Sound Community College’s (SPSCC) Corporate and Continuing Education Program. He has more than 4,000 hours of podium time at SPSCC and at numerous graduate and undergraduate university programs around the country.
Until July 2000, Dave owned and operated DHP Project Services, LLC, a successful project management consulting company. He is a retired Army Medical Department Officer and veteran. Dave lives in Olympia with his wife, Rafaela, and has three grown kids and two grandchildren. He volunteers with the Hire Hero’s veterans’ job assistance program and is a practicing fourth-degree master in Tae Kwan Do.
