Monthly Chapter Meeting (Virtual)
Our daily use of language includes loads of common words and phrases drawn from ugly parts of history that perpetuate stereotypes or cause people to feel as “other.” Often, we recognize the inappropriateness of certain expressions, yet grapple with finding suitable alternatives. This interactive workshop is designed to delve into the nuances of inclusive language.
At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Recognize inclusive language and explain its significance in promoting equality and respect in diverse settings; and
- Apply inclusive language principles in workplace communications.
