Speaker Names Randy Hammer, ACP Jan Dempsey, PMP Presentation Title Stopping Spam Calls: Making Telephone Communication Viable Again Presentation Summary Robocalls are by far the FCC’s #1 complaint from consumers and nuisance calling has reached epidemic levels. In this presentation, we’ll review the technology and techniques used by spammers and scammers to get end users to answer their phones; regulatory requirements; different methods for protecting end users from the scourge of robocalls; and how an agile methodology helps to keep spam robocalls from overcoming our lives. We will describe the challenges of working in a fast-changing environment and balancing regulatory, corporate, and individual end-user requirements.
